This is a private space for reflections on books and ideas. Written for myself, not for an audience.
I read slowly. I take notes even more slowly. Sometimes I return to the same book two or three years later and find that it has become an entirely different book — or perhaps I have become a different reader. These posts are an attempt to catch some of that movement in writing before it disappears.
The authors I return to most often are Krishnamurti, Eckhart Tolle, Viktor Frankl, and a handful of others who share a concern with the question of how to actually live — not in a theoretical sense, but practically, in the ordinary texture of days. I find their thinking useful not as doctrine but as a kind of friction, something to push against and work through.
